Puntiti's Needs

The Center's budget is minimal and its infrastructural needs are great.  The residential building requires expansive remodeling in order to accommodate the children who live at the Center.  The school and bathrooms also are in need of reconstruction and significant structural modifications. The Center is also faced with a critical need of purchasing patient lifts for the majority of residents who are non-ambulatory; wheel chairs for residents and specialized bathing chairs, as well as equipment for providing physical and occupational therapy.

An ongoing and immediate need for the Center is a sufficient number of disposable diapers for the residents of Puntiti and the students at the school.  The majority of the children at Puntiti are incontinent and wear diapers.  Therefore, it is essential that the staff change the children's diapers on a regular basis, as to avoid skin rashes and infections.  Furthermore, the San Benito school has limited academic supplies and materials that are critical to ensure quality instruction for the students.  Lastly, there is an insufficient number of staff members who provide direct services for the children.

All your donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to improve the quality of life for the children who reside and receive services at Puntiti.  Please visit our store to make donations for exclusive handmade greeting cards and/or to purchase diapers for the children.  All monies donated from the sale of the greeting cards will be used to fund the materials needed for the sheltered workshop.  Diapers are purchased in volume once a month and your donation can provide this basic necessity for one or more children.
Thank you for your cooperation and generosity.
